The Society of the Educational Arts, Inc. (Teatro SEA) and Dr Manuel Moran,
National Park Service and the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture presented as part of the International Theatre Festival 2015 Sueño: una versión caribeña de “Sueño de una noche de verano” de William Shakespeare..
The event takes place on the Esplanade of Castillo San Felipe del Morro , Old San Juan and functions will be completely free to the public.
Dream, directed by Manuel A. Morán , it features a cast of thirty five actors, singers, musicians, dancers and puppeteers. The piece includes more than fifty carnival puppets, stilts and masks, including “vejigantes and big heads.” The piece will be set to music live musicans of the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra, led by renowned conductor Manuel Calzada Puerto Rican and Colombian Alejandro Zuleta.
All performances are in Spanish.
The staging has puppeteers, dancers, singers and live music.
