Board Member Spotlight

Rena Kliot

Board member Rena Kliot has developed an incredible career and life marked by resilience and an unwavering commitment to her family. Kliot married very young and, unfortunately, was left responsible for raising two small boys on her own; she learned quickly what survival really meant. Those years, filled with uncertainty but determination, transformed her into an independent mother, leader, and advocate.

Her journey was largely undefined, paved only by a relentless drive to support her family. For years, she worked four to five jobs at once. She performed as a professionally trained singer, taught dance, sold furniture, and so much more. She took on any opportunity that would provide for her children. These experiences, though challenging, became the foundation of her confidence. Performing taught her how to read a room. Hard work taught her to adapt. Necessity taught her independence and self-sufficiency.

Her introduction to real estate began by complete accident; she happened to meet a broker who recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue the field. This is where she found her true calling. Through Kliot’s hard work, studying, and natural intuition, she immediately understood how deals worked, what clients needed, and how to translate vision into reality.

Born out of “necessity for her survival and the survival of her children,” she became the broker and owner of Pulse Real Estate, a full-service brokerage of 30 agents. She manages talent, supports both commercial and residential clients, and works closely with developers and investors. More than anything, Kliot focuses on people who have genuine vision and heart. For her, real estate is about relationships. She treats every client’s goals as her own and prides herself on being someone worthy of trust.

Her personal history, specifically the years spent surviving, deeply influenced her philosophy of giving back. She has always felt a responsibility to pay it forward; she is generous with her time and resources and always remains aware of how easy it is to lose everything. By her own volition, she has founded a philanthropic organization focused on women and children, mentoring more than 30 young women.

Her work with the Cristian Rivera Foundation began through her own nonprofit. She attended the Foundation’s 11th Annual Gala expecting another typical event. Rather, she discovered something profoundly different: an evening filled with emotion, authenticity, and community. To her, what makes CRF unique is its genuineness. While there may be celebrity involvement, the focus is always on the children and their families. CRF is intimate, deeply human, and built by people who truly care.

She considers this disease to be “a monster.” It is deadly, heartbreaking, and far too unknown. She wants families facing this diagnosis to “have faith and have hope.” She encourages donating to the Foundation to further the cause, but also articulates that awareness, time, and emotional support, even simply being present, can make a tremendous difference. “You don’t need money to help,” she says. “Just heart.”

With all of the hard work and perseverance Kilot displayed throughout her career, she reminds us all that anything is possible. Rena brings this same unwavering determination and hard work to the fight against D.I.P.G. While the battle to end D.I.P.G. is difficult, Rena remains committed to CRF–a testament to her character and love for the foundation. Her message is simple but powerful: show up, lead with love, and let your heart do the work.
