Listening to the swaying of the trees
Watching as the pigment of the leaves change
From green to red to orange to brown
Their colors change with the shortening days
My favorite time of year
The times I wish where you were nearHappily strolling amongst the leaves
Smiling and staring back at me
Wind hitting us like sweet kisses from above
The cool air fans the flames of my love
Smells of cinnamon and chai fill the air
Time moves on without a care
The trees changing and shedding all around
Symbolizing the old days falling to the ground
Hold my hand as we travel down this road together
With you near time seems to go on forever
Let us welcome fall with a warm embrace
And say farewell to summer in the coming days
