I am raising funds for CRF so I am shaving my head on Christmas Eve in memory of my hero, my daughter, Meghan Farina.

On September 28, 2007, Meghan was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive tumor located in the pons of the brainstem. She died just nine months later, July 13, 2008, at the age of 13. The last time I did this I raised $4,000 dollars, and my goal this year is 5,000 dollars. D.I.P.G. is a brain tumor that kills over 200 children each year. When a family gets the news that their child has D.I.P.G., they are told that there is just a 1 percent survival rate and that their child will likely be dead within a year. The Cristian Rivera Foundation is changing that.

Thanks to medical trials sponsored by the Cristian Rivera Foundation, children are living longer than ever before. 4-year-old Emiliano was told in May 2020 that he had 8 months to live, and more than 3 years later, he is still fighting and showing signs of improvement. However, families like Emiliano’s are exhausting all their resources in order to give their children a chance to live.

CRF has given tens of thousands to ensure that dozens of families can access treatment for their children.
