Statement -

I feel honored to be one of the members of the CRISTIAN RIVERA FOUNDATON, because it gives me the opportunity to lend my energies to a cause dedicated to the research and study of Pontine Glioma, an inoperable brain tumor which develops mostly on children between the ages of 3 to 9.

For reasons I can not fully understand Cristian was affected with this disease and though he has separated himself physically from us, he is present in our thoughts, in our hearts, in our memories.

I joined because I want to contribute to the act of saving lives and helping to safeguard the education, the health and the welfare of the children of the world.

Cristian, although I never had the opportunity to meet you, I feel I know you because I have seen you reflected in the eyes of your father, my dear friend John “Gungie” Rivera. I’ve seen the transformation in his face, and in the tone of his voice, when he proudly shows us pictures of the two of you together in better days.

You left us the legacy of your innocence, your purity, and your unconditional love. You have inspired your father and his commitment and love has moved us all to be aware, to care, and to fight for the welfare of all the children.

Thank you Cristian.
